Ilang ulit nang binabanatan ni Pangulong Digong ang Anti Money Laundering Council ngunit hindi lumabalas ang pangalan ng Executive Director nang ito sa katauhan ni Julia Abad, dating namuno sa Presidential Management Staff na tagapamahala ng pagbibigyan ng PORK BARREL na kung saan ang tatay naman niyang si Butch ang tagapagmudmod ng pera nuong panahon ni Pangulong Aquino. Sabi nga eh, it is all in the family kung saan ang misis ni Abad na kongresista ng Batanes ay tagapamahala naman ng paglagay ng pera sa national budget, isang katungkulan ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso (House of Representatives). Isang anak naman nila Butch, si Luis, ay dating chief of staff ng Aquino Administration Finance Secretary. Si Julia ay itinalaga ni dating Pangulong Aquino bilang Executive Director ng AMLC. Ang posisyong ito ay may FIXED TERM kaya hindi siya matanggal ni Pangulong Duterte. Pinagbibitiw ang ilang mga taga AMLC Secretariat na pinamumunuan ni Julia ngunit walang kusang umaalis. Ayon kay DOJ Secretary, iniipit ng AMLC ang pagusad ng kaso laban sa dating DOJ Secretary at ngayo’y Senadora Leila De Lima kaugnay ng BANK ACCOUNTS na pinaghihinalaang pinaglagakan ng pera mula sa mga DRUG LORDS nuong panahon ng kampanya ni De Lima para sa Senado.

Duterte tells AMLC secretariat to resign
Duterte wants AMLC officials to resign because of corruption
President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday attacked officials of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) officials anew for being uncooperative with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in their investigation of suspected drug criminals.
“I am warning again, Central Bank, for the second time… Hanggang ngayon, there is no report of this AMLC. You know, I am going to charge all of you, criminally. I’ll count one to three and if you do not resign, I will treat you as a drug addict. You’re contributing to the corruption to the country,” Duterte said in a speech during the ceremonial signing of the 2017 national budget in Malacañang.
“You have reported to the NBI and submitted it very late, yet you do not have the assessment report. Kaya ko nilagay diyan mga—kaya kayo nilagay dyan kasi may trabaho kayo. If you cannot do your job get out from that office because I’m—I’ll transfer to the Bank of China. Eh mas marami iyong pera doon. Or Bank of America,” he added.
“You guys there are all corrupt. Bantay kayo sa akin, I will bring you down. [Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amado] Tetangco [Jr.] is about to retire. Better prepare there ‘cause I’ll give you a whack. You are all corrupt and serving masters. You are not supposed to engage in politics,” Duterte also said.
3 AMLC officials
In a chance interview after the program, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said that Duterte was referring only to three officials in the AMLC.
“He was referring to the people implementing the law. Iyong sa office of the executive director, tapos iyong deputy niya, tapos iyong head ng investigation,” he said.
Aguirre explained that two of them are “brothers” of Senator Leila de Lima.
“One is an Atty. Salido. The one I cannot remember the name. I’m sure he was referring to that, kasi hanggang ngayon stonewalling eh, ni hindi pa binibigay iyong may assesment, iyong may analysis noong account. Iyong binibigay lang sa amin iyong may statement of accounts katulad noong sa bangko,” he said.
“Magagamit namin iyon, pero balewala sa amin iyon. Iyong account ni De Lima, iyong mga drug lord,” he added. — RSJ, GMA News
